Standard for silicon - barium alloys GB / T15710-1995

Preface
Silicon-barium alloys are ferroalloys with higher activity. The  addition of steel and steel can reduce the occurrence of smoke and  flame, change the nature and distribution of non-metallic inclusions in  steel, improve the machinability of metal, for casting production, show  good resistance to decay and reduce the sensitivity of the section Is a cast iron production in a long-term, efficient inoculant. The  use of Silicon Barium alloy, compared with the use of pure aluminum,  ferrosilicon, silicon calcium and other single alloy effect better and  more economical. Silicon Barium alloy for ferroalloy production is also very favorable. Silicon Barium alloy widely used, the development of this standard is  to seek unity, regulate the market, promote technological progress, to  meet the production and use needs.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods,  inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation, marking and  quality certificates of silicon and barium alloys.
This standard applies to steel-making as deoxidizer, desulfurization agent and casting inoculant of silicon-barium alloy.

3 technical requirements
3.1 grades and chemical composition
3.1.1 silicon barium alloy barium, silicon content is different,  divided into seven grades, the chemical composition should be consistent  with the provisions of Table 1

3.2 PhySiCal state

3.2.1 particle size

Silicon barium alloy delivery particle size of 10mm - 100mm, of which  less than 10mm of not more than 8% of the total; greater than 100mm of  the total shall not exceed 5%.

3.2.2 demand side of the grain size has special requirements, both agreed by the supply and demand.

4 test method

4.1 sampling, sample preparation

The measurement and preparation of samples for silicon barium alloy  analysis shall be carried out according to the requirements of silicon  and calcium alloy in CB / T 4010.

4.2 Chemical analysis

The method of chemical analysis of silicon barium alloy is determined by consultation between supply and demand.

5 acceptance rules

5.1  The quality inspection and acceptance of the product shall be carried  out by the technical supervision department of the supplier. The demand  side shall have the right to re-check the product quality according to  the regulations. If there is any objection,

5.2 batches

6 Packaging, storage and transportation, signs and quality certificates

6.1 Packaging

Silicon barium alloy products are packed in bags or drums, must be covered with moisture-proof bags, each net weight 50kg.

6.2 storage and transportation

Products should be stored in the Treasury, and pay attention to ventilation and moisture, shipped with a caravan. Do not seepage and mix with other debris

6.3 logo and quality certificate

The product logo and quality certificate shall comply with the requirements of GB / T 3650.
